Henry (Heinrich) Kuhn was born 8 October 1826 in Thal, St. Gallen Switzerland to Heinrich and Anna Urula Schrodin Kuhn. He married Anna Elisabetha Staeheli 18 October 1861 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born 12 February 1831 in Amriswil, Thurgau, Switzerland to Johannes and Elizabetha Thalman Staeheli. They came to Santa Clara in November 1861 with their infant daughter, Elizabeth. Henry was born 2 February 1863, Thomas Albert in2 July 1867, died 15 March 1868 and George August born 7 May 1870. All of these children were born in Santa Clara, Utah.

Henry died 23 April 1891 in Silver Reef, Utah and was buried in Leeds, Utah. His wife, Elizabeth died 12 September 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah and was buried there also on the 15^th of September.

Elizabeth Kuhn was born 11 September 1861 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry and Elizabeth Staheli Kuhn. She was the oldest of their four children. She died 11 September 1944.
